Senior Girls Volleyball

The Senior Girls Volleyball team began their tryouts on November
10th. They have seen many talented girls show their dedication by
appearing at early morning tryouts. The tryouts will conclude the
week of November 17th as the girls prepare for their season opener
on December 1st. Coaches Mrs. LaChance and Ms. Barbatano have seen a
distinctively talented group of girls as they hope to have a very
successful season. |

Senior Boys Volleyball

The
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Senior Boys Volleyball team bumped up
their position recently in their tournament against the St. Paul
Patriots on Friday, October 17, and again on October 22 they won
against Stanford. Preceding the tournament, the Irish were down in
the dumps, patiently waiting for their chance at victory. The
season, which started in September and runs until mid-November,
started out slow, but team coach, Ryan Defoe, always had high hopes
and believes that practise makes perfect. Their most valuable and
necessary play that they have is setting the ball and hitting it,
which is crucial in the volleyball world. The boys will finish their
season on October 27th and 29th when they go up against the E.L.
Crossley Cyclones, and then against the Lakeshore Gators to move
onto SOSSA. Joseph Capporicci stated that, “We have high hopes of
defeating Lakeshore, and competing well in SOSSA.” |
