Notre Dame Junior and Senior Tennis

This year the Notre Dame Irish tennis team is coached by Mr.
Kirouac. The team consists of fourteen players, eight juniors
and six seniors. There are seven weeks of game time, six weeks
at the beginning of the school year and one week during the
spring where the players advance to OFSAA.
Tennis consists of three tournaments, Zone, SOSSA, and OFSAA
for the seniors. In the junior division, Emily Faiano won 1st
place in Zone and 2nd in SOSSA for female singles. Sarah
Lawrence and Alaina Interisano placed 1st in Zone and 2nd in
SOSSA for the female doubles, and Maryann Landry with Ryan
Kirshmayer stole 2nd place in Zone and SOSSA for mixed
doubles. They all showed great sportsmanship and spirit.
In the senior division Julia D’angelo won 1st place in Zone
and SOSSA for female singles and Alina Kaas with Erica Pisani
took 1st in Zone and SOSSA.
This incredible team is where it is today because of such a
wonderfully talented coach and its players. This is a
tremendous triumph for the team this year and hopefully many
years to come. Go team go! |
