“Keeping it Green”
ND’s Environmental Club plays a major role in keeping ND green. The moderators of this club are Mr. Iannizzi, Mr. Petrusic, Mr. Hartman and Mr. Purdie. They have introduced composting in the cafeteria and also reduced the amount of garbage being thrown out by increasing the amount being recycled. This club has about 60 members meeting every Tuesday and Thursday. The environmental club participates in many activities like camping, planting trees, minimizing garbage, and conserving energy. Some upcoming events are Camp Wanakita, the Senior Algonquin Interior Trip, Eco School grading (gold silver or bronze), 60 trees for 60 years, which is just to name a few.
