Digital Damers,

Digital Damers were organized when teachers saw a need for more recognition of students involved in the most reflective activities represented in our school: creative writing and artwork. The Digital Damers collect and display student work on the school website. Their main goal is to attain recognition for every individual who submits work for a possible place on the school website. We need students who are interested in writing and drawing to contact, Mrs. Cools, in order to continue rotating student work displayed on this website. So, come on N.D., the Digital Damers want to make you famous! Watch for our T-Shirts and come visit the N.D. website often.

A violent thunderstorm roared over a small, quiet village where three members of a law enforcement team known as GlobaCorp had gathered in front of the large doors to a local church. Speculation has been that a group of beings known as Dreadnoughts have taken residence within the church, and this trio was sent to solve the issue by the only means necessary. Dreadnoughts were outcasts by law and were to be executed on sight.

“It’s no good,” Katsu said as he turned to face the pair. “The door won’t open unless Doren blows it.” Although a genius when it came to firearms, Katsu did not know the first thing about explosives. “Which means I can relax,” he continued with a wide grin. “I’ll be right over here.” He moved away from the door and took a seat against the hard stonewall.

Defending Orokon

Kaihzan Rellicose poked at the fire before him, shifting the burning logs to better ventilate them. He would not go in search of firewood again this night. He looked around at his few companions but said nothing knowing that they were all too busy worrying about the coming battle. The stars above glistened, flickering as if to laugh and mock those men destined to die protecting their homeland of Orokon. Not if he could help it.

“Captain,” one of his companions addressed. The speaker was a wiry man, built for speed rather than strength. In contrast he wore a heavy suit of copper, the long sword at his side crafted of the same material. “Is it possible they would ambush us in our sleep?”

Chapter 1

A Long time ago, there was a boy named Jason. He and his family suffered a very bad tragedy and had to start over. So they upped and left their hometown and found a very large home for a remarkably cheap price out in the middle of nowhere. The family thought that they had escaped all of their problems. But, what they didn’t know, were the problems that they were in for.

After a few weeks, Jason decided to start wandering around the enormous house. He found closets and rooms that he had never seen before. But his next adventure was to explore the very dark and deep basement. When he was down there, he kept on seeing a little red light flash in the crack of the wall. He decided to wait and go back when there was light coming in the windows since there were no lights in the basement.

So he began to explore other parts of the house that he was unsure of. He went into closets and came out into rooms that were inaccessible from the other parts of the house. To him, it was his way of hiding. He could stay away from his parents when they were fighting and would not hear them at all. He could get away from a lot of things and do things that he normally would not be permitted to do.
