The
Arts and International Languages Department at Notre Dame
celebrates Catholic Education by applying a Christ
centered approach of instruction. It is our belief that
academic instruction goes hand in hand with the moral,
ethical, and spiritual growth of our students, so that
students are able to develop their love of God and people,
and deepen their appreciation of prayer and a moral
foundation to help them as they journey through their
lives. Through the analysis and creation of various art
forms and literature, students are given opportunities to
explore various; social issues, moral values, ethical
decision-making models, and explore the impact of
technological advances in the Arts and Languages. It is
our hope that these experiences will deepen their
learning, gospel values, and spiritual formation, and
allow students to become transformers of society by
spreading the Good News to all as they continue their
life-long journey as Catholic Evangelizers.
In addition to the courses offered at Notre Dame, the Arts
and International Languages Department offers a variety of
vibrant co-curricular programs to supplement the
curriculum in our areas of study. Clubs include the
Italian club, French club, Art Club, Concert and Jazz
Bands, Choir, and a Drama and Theatre Tech co-curricular
programs. Each club offers opportunities for students to
further explore their interests in a fun, safe, yet
educational setting.
